Profile

“Nobody tells this to people who are beginners, I wish someone told me. All of us who do creative work, we get into it because we have good taste. But there is this gap. For the first couple years you make stuff, it’s just not that good. It’s trying to be good, it has potential, but it’s not. But your taste, the thing that got you into the game, is still killer. And your taste is why your work disappoints you. A lot of people never get past this phase, they quit. Most people I know who do interesting, creative work went through years of this. We know our work doesn’t have this special thing that we want it to have. We all go through this. And if you are just starting out or you are still in this phase, you gotta know its normal and the most important thing you can do is do a lot of work. Put yourself on a deadline so that every week you will finish one story. It is only by going through a volume of work that you will close that gap, and your work will be as good as your ambitions. And I took longer to figure out how to do this than anyone I’ve ever met. It’s gonna take awhile. It’s normal to take a while. You’ve just gotta fight your way through.”

Legonate just lost a game on War because blue and black are indistinguishable on Japan due to the fuzzy layer. I think I mentioned this at the time you were working on this board oh so long ago. So... fix it or something http://www.wargear.net/games/view/24611

Playing my first game on Gotham. Fun board. One question - One is able to attack from Blackgate Island (lower left) over the wall to Inner Gate West. This is the only place on the map I can see where you can attack over a wall. Should that border be taken out?

When you get back from your "Vacation" could you please port over directly or update Mongolian Whores to this site. Kjeld made a Hordes! of China map and it made me miss Mongolia. I loved that map with 3 players. P.S. I think you and I are the only people who put the ! at the end of Hordes!

It's just a slightly impressionist, figurative graphical representation of her femininity. She's actually naked, but it couldn't be depicted in its fullness; this is a family site after all.

Right now I'm wishing there were 'reviews' like on WF so I could tell you how brilliant I think Castles is.

So.... this 'Such borders are loosely represented by overlapped glowing red coastlines. It should be fairly intuitive what coastal borders are available, but reference the map details if you are in doubt. ' Really isn't working for me. Lots of borders are intuitive that don't exist. For instance, it's just as likely from the image that Caribbean attacks Venezuela as Colombia. Greenland really doesn't touch Quebec? From the overlapping redness, UK should touch Norway. Malaysia and Thailand are less connected graphically than most of these that don't actually touch. etc. I'm all for a creative way around the boring old "dotted black lines" or whatever, but... this seems imperfect.
